On July 16, 2022, Jo, the youngest of the Gainsbourg clan celebrates her 11th birthday. Pampered by her brother Ben (25) and by her sister Alice (19), the pretty little brunette was able to enjoy a birthday meal in a Parisian restaurant surrounded by her family. On Instagram, the son of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Yvan Attal shared several photos of his precious little sister, writing: “Happy Birthday my princess“.
Sitting wisely in front of her cake, Jo Attal seems to have inherited the mischievous look and shyness of her mother and her father’s physique. Alice also did not fail to leave New York (where she settled to study) to return to the capital to celebrate her sister’s birthday. Interviewed by the magazine Gala in 2017, the daughter of Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin revealed why she wanted to expose her children in several of her music videos. An implicit reference to his late dad who had done the same thing in his clip Lemon Incest released in 1984.
“I allowed myself this as my father allowed himself with me. If my kids didn’t want to do it, they would have told me” she explained. Remembering with nostalgia of her dad, she added: “For my father, there was no barrier between public and private life, he talked about everything to the media, he loved me, but it was easier for him to tell journalists than to me… I was cherished by my father, even if he was modest.”
