Last May, Natasha St-Pier gave an interview for Evening Mag. The 41-year-old singer took the opportunity to talk about her son Bixente, born in 2015 from her relationship with Grégory Quillacq, from whom she is now separated. She first reassured everyone about the state of health of her little boy, who had undergone open heart surgery at the age of only four months because he was born with a heart defect.
“He has a cardio follow-up once a year. And for the moment, everything is fine, everything is beautiful and we hope it lasts like this all his life” she confided, adding that he is “healthy”.
Since then, she has again confided in her son in the columns of Evening Magbut this time talking about Canada, his country of origin. “This beach is absolutely not the most beautiful in the world, but it is in my heart, because it is where I grew up” she said at first, while she is currently taking advantage of her holidays there to recharge her batteries in her childhood neighborhood, in the city of Bathurst located in the east of the country, in the province of New Brunswick.
“Canadian Culture”
“As soon as we can afford it, with Bixente, we go there to join grandma and grandpa from Canada. I also see Jonathan, my brother whom I adore, and my cousins. I am very family and it gives me a lot of happiness to find them. This is where I regenerate, the calm that reigns there is fabulous” she added. If she lives in France with her son, Natasha St-Pier goes to Canada “at least twice a year” with him, “So that he discovers the beauties of the country in winter but also in summer”.
She has never hidden her attachment and her love for Canada, a passion that she wishes to pass on to her child. “Bixente has dual nationality. It’s important that he also has Canadian culture in him.” explained the singer. To see if his son will immerse himself in this culture when he is older. That’s all we wish for him and his mother!
