Shots rang out Thursday evening in the Chomedey sector, in Laval. No casualties were reported in this event where several casings were found on the ground. Three men sitting in the balcony of a duplex were targeted, according to witnesses.

“This is the second time that this accommodation has been targeted,” says the occupant of the building targeted by the projectiles.
From her window, she saw around 9 p.m. a vehicle slowing down. Seconds later, she heard the thud of projectiles. “They were three sitting on chairs on the balcony. It’s a miracle that no one received bullets, ”continues the young woman.
Police officers from the Service de police de Laval (SPL) were called around 9:30 p.m. for these shots heard at the intersection of Mackenzie and Hennessy streets.
Several casings were found on the ground. The SPL reports “projectile impacts on residences and on at least one vehicle parked nearby”.
No injuries were located by police. So far, no suspects have been identified.
The scene was protected and investigators are on site to try to understand the circumstances of this event, said a spokesperson for the SPL.
