After the early heat wave in May, Quebecers are preparing to experience their first great summer heat with the mercury which will easily exceed 30 degrees in southern Quebec this weekend.
Starting Friday, warm, sunny weather will be in place almost everywhere in the province after this week’s rainy spell, according to Environment Canada forecasts.
Temperatures will exceed the psychological threshold of 30 degrees starting Saturday and will continue to rise until Tuesday in the Montreal, Outaouais and Montérégie sectors.
According to data from the federal agency, it will be 30 degrees on Saturday, 32 degrees on Sunday, 31 degrees on Monday and 33 degrees on Tuesday in the Montreal region and its surroundings, in particular the sectors located on the South Shore.
In the center of the province, the weather will also be warm under clear skies, while the mercury will approach 25 degrees on Friday before peaking at 30 degrees on Tuesday in Quebec and Mauricie.
In the sectors of eastern Quebec, the good weather could be disrupted by a few clouds carrying the risk of thunderstorms in places, particularly in the Gaspé, but the situation will soon improve for the weekend.
