The 2022-2023 season of the National was published this Wednesday by the French Football Federation. The 30th edition of the National Championship will begin on Friday August 12, 2022 and end on Friday May 26, 2023 at the end of the 34 days contested.
It remains to be seen whether the Girondins de Bordeaux will play in Ligue 2, in the National or in another championship. “Eighteen teams will take part in the competition, the presence of 17 of them is confirmed. We will have to wait a little longer to find out who from the Girondins de Bordeaux or FC Villefranche-Beaujolais will complete the group,“says the FFF on its site.
First game in Concarneau
At the opening, the first day will offer a shock between promoted from National 2 since FC Versailles will receive FC Martigues. Paris 13 Atlético and Le Puy-en-Velay will travel respectively to the lawn of La Berrichonne Châteauroux and FC Bastia-Borgo, drafted in National. For US Orléans, it will be a trip to Brittany in Concarneau on August 12, 2022.
The following weekend, the Orléanais will play a first match at home with the arrival of AS Nancy Lorraine, former resident of Ligue 2. The central derby is scheduled for the 6th day of the National. USO – Châteauroux on September 16. To end the season, the USO will go to Dunkirk before receiving Concarneau on May 26, 2023.
