Ignestra Traverso, the 39-year-old mother, accuses an employee of a group crèche located in Mureaux (Yvelines) of having violently shaken her two-year-old and four-month-old son before her eyes. In her complaint, this mother assures us that the facts took place on June 10, as is also written in the medical certificate drawn up by the family doctor whom franceinfo was able to consult. In addition to this medical certificate, the investigators asked the mother to consult the medico-judicial units (UMJ) of Versailles to note any sequelae on the baby. Before filing a complaint almost a month after the facts reported, the mother says she first contacted the headquarters of the People & Baby group “several times to be able to find common ground, to be able to explain the act to me” and find out why the employee “reacted this way” with her child. “Faced with the absence of reaction from the group”according to her words, this woman filed a complaint.
It all starts in early June. Several times, the little boy complains. “It had been more than a week since he arrived in front of the nursery that he was screaming, that he didn’t want to go into the nursery.she says. He always told me ‘mean lady, mean lady’.” Ignestra Traverso then takes his son to the pediatrician, who “stipulates that this is a warning message”. Then follows a verbal altercation between the mother, the employee and the director of the crèche. Asked, the municipal police of Les Mureaux intervened and according to the mother of the family, the agents urged her to file a complaint. But the versions diverge: in the contract termination letter that franceinfo was able to consult, the People & Baby group claims to have requested the intervention of the municipal police because of the behavior of Ignestra Traverso “in the presence of children” who has “twice disrupted the functioning of the structure, forcing the supervising team to involve the police in order to calm the situation”. The company refers to two events. June 10, therefore, the day the employee is suspected of having shaken Ilyan and the day before, June 9.
The Versailles prosecutor’s office assures franceinfo that the investigators will hear all the protagonists in this case, both the employee in question and the director of the nursery and parents who may have witnessed the scene.

After the episode of violence on June 10, Ilyan’s mother decides to remove him from this structure for good. At the same time, People & Baby is terminating the family’s contract for the reasons mentioned above. The mother also filed a complaint for “false: fraudulent alteration of the truth in a writing”. She suspects the director of the nursery of having signed a new contract in her place, after the end of the one signed between December and the end of March.
Today, the little boy is looked after by his grandmother before returning next September to a private nursery school at the start of the school year, in a very small section. She does not want to put her son back in nursery for another year, because “it’s traumatic”she says. “I tell myself that these acts can start again.”

This resident of Mureaux claims to have made a report to the Maternal and Child Protection (PMI) of Versailles “on all the dysfunctions of this nursery”she says in her complaint “and the problems of understaffing”. She says that she has attended a “real turnover” of employees in this crèche. Contacted by franceinfo, the PMI did not confirm this report. Also contacted numerous times by franceinfo, the People & Baby group did not wish to react for the moment.
According to his mother, Ilyan retains a real trauma from his time in this nursery: “When I walked past the crèche on a Sunday, he was screaming and the crèche was closed.”
