A 43-year-old man from Dunham lost his life on Monday during a maneuver with a forklift.

The worker from the company Peinture Hauterive was moving a pipe around 3:30 p.m. when it “fell on him”, explains Stéphane Tremblay, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.

The tragedy took place within the company, located on Route 133 in Henryville, a small Monteregian municipality about twenty kilometers from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

The Sûreté du Québec was dispatched to investigate the death, in collaboration with the CNESST. A forensic identification technician was also assigned to the scene.
