in Seine-Saint-Denis, the Fontanieu method has paid off for the young people of Drancy

To discover the results of the baccalaureate resit, Grace and Andrei are well accompanied. Jérémie Fontanieu, their economics professor, is more than ever by their side. Both are admitted. “I may not have had it the way I wanted, that is to say the first time, (…) [mais] when you have the results, it feels really good”, says Grace. The teacher also savors the moment. “Where I am very proud is that the temptation was great, Tuesday noon, to give up. (…) they were very brave, they did not break down mentally”he confides.

If Jérémie Fontanieu has forged a strong bond with his students, it is because he has been in contact with the families throughout the year. All are invited to celebrate the baccalaureate of the class. “When at the beginning of the year, I asked you to embark on this adventure, there was no reason for you to believe me, but you believed me. We trusted each other, and nothing would not have been possible without you”said the teacher, before inviting each of the students to speak at the microphone. “I was a bit late, and it ended up paying off, so I’m happy”said one of them.

For 10 years, the teacher has wanted to prove that achieving 100% success is possible in Seine-Saint-Denis. “We have found tools that allow us to pass this on to students. It works”he rejoices. “I know the course. He not only accompanied Grace, he accompanied, I think, the whole family”, explains for her part Inès, the mother of Grace. About fifteen teachers came from all over France to learn from the Fontanieu method. They will be 30 to apply it at the start of the school year.
