“All of the steps related to the analysis and publication of the results are currently underway. Student results will be available today, July 11, 2022, during the afternoon,” said a spokesperson for the Quebec Ministry of Education (MEQ), Bryan St-Louis, at the end of the session. ‘before noon.
Last Thursday, the MEQ had indicated that the correction of the test would be completed on Saturday and that the results would be sent to the students on Sunday.
Faced with a lack of staff, the ministry had to postpone the end of the correction of the single French test of the 5e secondary school and the communication of the results to the students from July 5 to 9, despite the help provided by additional staff.
These delays are of concern to many parents when their children were to be registered last week in order to be able to participate in summer courses and the retake exam for the single French test which begins on July 20.
The MEQ had, however, asked the school network “to show flexibility” for registrations for summer courses and the retake exam. Some schools had notably allowed preventive registrations that it would be possible to cancel in case the student was not in a situation of failure.
On Monday, the ministry’s website still told some anxious parents that the feature to view their children’s exam results was still down and wouldn’t be back on until 4 p.m.
“The mailing of all the learning records will begin on July 18, as planned,” said MEQ spokesperson Bryan St-Louis.
A total of 60,121 students completed the French test last May.
