If you know Les Chèvres d’Angélique in Ossun, look no further for Angélique: she passed the torch to Benjamin Perret last January. After working alongside him for several months, he is now the one who makes the cheeses. Of course, Benjamin is not alone in looking after the fifty or so goats that hop around the farm. He has been accompanied since February by the passionate and bubbly Emma. Between them, they ensure the well-being of the goats and the marketing of the cheeses on the markets.
Cheeses for all tastes to match with local and artisanal products
From the pepper-tomato puck to the traditional ashy log, you are bound to find what you are looking for among Benjamin’s creations. Products are sold directly at the farm on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., or at the Tarbes markets of Halles Marcadieu and Brauhauban. You will also find honey from beekeeper Emmanuel Lacaze d’Ossun, fresh eggs from Cocotte et Nous, wine from Domaine de Paguignan. All the information can be found on the Facebook page of La Chevrerie Bigourdane.
