Footballers’ holidays are coming to an end, and while for the most part things went perfectly, there is one who can’t quite say the same thing… This year, the football stars’ favorite destination has yet been Spain and specifically the Balearic Islands. Whether in Mallorca, Menorca or Ibiza, the athletes were all there! We have seen Cristiano Ronaldo with his loved ones or even Lionel Messi and his beautiful Antonela in a dream villa for an unforgettable vacation. European champion with Real Madrid of Karim Benzema, the Uruguayan player Federico Valverde had also chosen to put his suitcases in the Balearic Islands, in the company of his partner Mina Bonino and his son, but the holidays quickly turned into a nightmare…
The 23-year-old midfielder had a terrible misadventure, as his girlfriend told in her story on her Instagram account. The young journalist, five years the eldest of the footballer, revealed last Saturday that the couple were drugged then robbed during his vacation in Ibiza. “The next day, I couldn’t even get up. I messaged a friend to take my son because everything was upsetting me. I felt very badbut I thought it was because I’m very lazy and in very poor physical condition”she says.
We were robbed by an acquaintance who saw me sleeping naked and that’s what bothers me the most
According to the companion of Federico Valverde, the couple would have been stolen nearly 10,000 euros in cash, when they were drugged. According to the young woman, suspicion fell on the chef present at the time of the events. “The estate agents told us that the food could have been poisoned by the chef, so they took us to the hospital for substance testing. The analyzes showed the presence of cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and amphetamines but we were negative to everything”she continues, before expressing her feelings about the possible criminal: “Everything was very subtle so that they could rob us without us knowing. We spent our first day in the hospital. We were robbed by an acquaintance who saw me sleeping naked and that’s what what bothers me the most”.
