A motorist falls ten meters in Nord-Gironde

A complicated operation this Sunday evening for the firefighters of the Gironde. They rescued a motorist who had fallen ten meters high by falling from a bridge in Saint-Yzan-de-Soudiac, near Saint-Savin, in North Gironde.

The car ended up below on a disused railway line, which was not accessible by road. The firefighters of the Perilous Environment Reconnaissance and Intervention Group (Grimp) had to work to get the driver back on a stretcher. The 55-year-old man, very seriously injured, was transported to the Bordeaux University Hospital.
