In this warehouse in Caumont-sur-Durance, foodstuffs from an association were stored. Around 7 p.m. this Friday, July 8, a fire broke out inside this 1000m2 hangar. About 50 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
The fire is under control but firefighters are still on site this Saturday, July 9. The metal structure of the warehouse was badly damaged, which made the action of the firefighters more complex. The road to Isle-sur-la-Sorgue was blocked for part of the night because the fire spread to the surrounding brush. No neighboring houses were affected by the fire. No casualties to report.
Other fire starts in the department
Fire vigilance is at its maximum until Sunday in the Vaucluse. Two other brush fires were extinguished by firefighters. On the banks of the Durance in Avignon 1 hectare burned, in Lagarde-Paréol 300 m2 of vegetation were destroyed.
