A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the LaSalle area of Montreal on Thursday evening.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m., officers were alerted by 911 calls to a stabbed man in a park on Rue Serre, near Rue Robert.
Dispatched to the scene, the police located the victim injured in the upper body by a sharp object, said Véronique Comtois of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The young man was rushed to a hospital, but there is no fear for his life, according to the Montreal police.
The scene was protected by a security perimeter for the investigators who will have to determine the causes and the exact circumstances surrounding this attack.
No suspects have been arrested in connection with the stabbing as the investigation continues, it added.
