No respite for the firefighters, in the Gard. They are still mobilized this Friday on the Bordezac fire north of Besseges, in the Cévennes. 625 hectares of vegetation have already been destroyed. 680 firefighters from all over France are mobilized, with 180 devices deployed. This fire is still not under control due to the difficulty of intervening in this wooded area and the strengthening mistral. Since this Friday morning, 2 Civil Security Dash have been dropping water. The fire could last for several days.
Only the inhabitants of Bordezac must remain confined to their homes in order to stay safe.
The axes located around the site of the fire remain prohibited namely the D 51 to Béssèges (north exit) and the D 184 (north access). Diversions are put in place and the population is asked to respect them.
The Béssèges service station (Carrefour Market) providesfuel supply emergency and safety vehicles. The fuel supply is reserved exclusively for these vehicles. Individuals can obtain supplies from other service stations, particularly those located in Saint Ambroix.
