(Ottawa) Quebecer Véronik Mallet has decided to end her career as a figure skater.

The 28-year-old athlete from Baie-Comeau won silver at the Canadian Championships in January. She had won the bronze medal twice at these championships, in 2015 and 2019.
On the international scene, Maillet’s best result was a fourth place at the 2013 Nebelhorn Trophy in Germany. That same year, she finished eighth in the Skate Canada International competition.
Last season, she finished 13e Four Continents Championships in Estonia.
