It is the end of a social conflict which lasted three weeks: the striking employees of Ratier-Figeac, in the Lot, decided to suspend their movement. Since June 17, some of the employees have been on strike to demand a salary increase. The production of the aeronautical subcontractor, which manufactures propellers and equipment for aircraft cockpits, has been greatly slowed down.
Basically, the CGT demanded salary increases of 300 euros gross per month but the union has scaled back its demands in an attempt to find common ground with management.
According to the CGT, the CEO of Ratier-Figeac would have validated an agreement which relates to 120 euros increase per month for employees who earn less than 2000 euros, 90 euros per month for those who earn between 2000 and 2500 euros, 60 euros monthly for salaries between 2500 and 3500 euros. Employees who earn more than 3500 euros per month will receive 40 euros monthly.
The CGT hopes to remobilize the strikers at the start of the school year
Fabien Rayaud, member of the CGT speaks of an exemplary conflict: “The account is not there, especially with the wealth that we produce in this company, but the striking employees have decided to suspend the movement in the General Assembly to focus on the battles to come. A long conflict is difficult to support financially for the strikers, it was a non-negligible parameter. But the employees remain determined to obtain other social advances in the weeks to come, from the start of the school year in September.”
The strike is will be lifted this Friday at 7 a.m..
