The ecologist deputy was received in the program “Your political guest” on franceinfo. The former minister took stock of the summit held in Glasgow.
The 26th world climate conference, more commonly known as COP26, ended on Saturday, November 13 in Glasgow (United Kingdom). A summit which gave birth to a mixed agreement, when it comes to the fight against global warming. The former Minister of Ecology Delphine Batho thus judged “tragic” the results of this international meeting, Monday, November 15, in the program “Your political guest”.
“We have already crossed tipping points in the acceleration of global warming and, in fact, this COP, as Greta Thunberg summed it up very well, is ‘blah blah blah'”, continued the deputy for Deux-Sèvres, ex-candidate for the ecological primary and now support of Yannick Jadot in the presidential election of 2022. “The COP says: ‘We are postponing the commitments to later, we will see in three years’. This is not serious.”
