Wednesday, July 6, the seventh wave of the Covid-19 epidemic continues to increase. Hospital admissions are on the rise. The new Minister of Healthrecommend wearing a mask in crowded places. The city of Nice goes further and imposes from Monday July 11 the compulsory mask in transport.

In Nice (Alpes-Maritimes)wearing a mask will again be compulsory on all public transport from Monday 11 July. The municipal decree is not unanimous. More than 200,000 cases of Covid-19 were recorded on Tuesday July 5 alone. The new Minister of Health recommends wearing a mask in all places frequented. “We must put this mask back on, I repeat. It is a citizen gesture. You have to put it on to stop this diffusion”believes François Braun, Minister of Health and Prevention.

In hospitals, as in Lyon (Rhone)we are preparing to deal with a possible influx of patients. The level of critical care admissions is on the rise again: 97 new admissions on average every day, that’s 30% more than last week. The situation could become tense, because a third of the nursing staff is missing and resuscitation beds have had to close.
