The seventh wave of Covid continues to rise in France. 206,554 new cases were identified in 24 hours. On Monday July 4, the new government presented a bill which only provides for health checks at the borders.

In pharmacies, queues are being created again in order to be tested for Covid. For ten days, the number of contaminations has soared in a pharmacy, with “35-40% positivity today“. The seventh wave therefore continues to rise, up to 120,000 cases over the last week. But the government has not decided on constraints or repressions. The state of health emergency will end on July 31.

A bill could allow some flexibility until the end of next winter. A health pass could be requested at the borders with a negative test or proof of vaccination. With more than 106,000 cases on Tuesday July 5, the new Minister of Health François Braun repeated before the National Assembly that wearing a mask in an enclosed place is recommended.
