Delphine & Laurent took over “Spiruline d’Aquitaine” a few years ago and it is above all the story of a reconvention, of a 180 degree turn in their respective careers since they were both employees of a large airline company ! One day they see an ad to resume operations, and the adventure begins!
A surprising food!
Spirulina or Arthrospira Platensis is a small, spiral-shaped microscopic organism (from which it gets its name Spirulina). It is also commonly called seaweed because of the chlorophyll it contains. Appeared on Earth about 3.5 billion years ago, cyanobacteria (a group to which spirulina belongs) contributed to the synthesis of oxygen on our planet.
Spirulina has an incomparable nutritional value, it represents an important contribution in:
- Proteins and in particular the 8 amino acids essentials which must imperatively be provided by food.
- Iron bioavailable to the body.
- Pro vitamin A or beta carotene.
- vitamins of group B including vitamin B12.
- Gamma Linolenic Acid : hypocholesterolemic, essential for immunity, anti-infectious and anti-allergic defenses. In addition, it plays an important role in the hydration and suppleness of the skin.
