(Niagara Falls) Niagara Regional Police are looking for the driver behind an alleged hit-and-run that killed a 70-year-old pedestrian.

Officers responded shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday to calls of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle in Chippawa, a community south of Niagara Falls, Ont.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a 70-year-old woman in critical condition. She later died in hospital.
Police say the woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a van whose driver reportedly fled the scene without stopping to come to her aid.
Investigators have since seized the suspect vehicle, but are continuing to search for the driver.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
