A week rich in politics is coming, with the reshuffle of the government after legislative elections which have weakened the presidential clan. Charges Elisabeth Borne with reforming her team, before the declaration of general policy which should take place on Wednesday July 6.
Elisabeth Borne’s first government lasted six weeks. Monday, July 4, the reshuffle should be announced, with in the afternoon, a Council of Ministers. Because the legislative elections have been there, and three beaten ministers will have to resign. Amélie de Montchalin, for Ecological Transition, Brigitte Bourguignon for Health, and Justine Benin for the Sea. Yaël Braun-Pivet also leaves her Overseas Ministry, elected President of the National Assembly.
Damien Abad’s case is pending. The Minister of Solidarity is weakened by a preliminary investigation for attempted rape. Difficulties for the head of government: maintaining parity and bringing in Modem and Horizons elected officials. On Wednesday July 6, Elisabeth Borne is expected to deliver her general policy speech to the Assembly, with uncertainty about a vote of confidence, an optional exercise but demanded by the opposition.
