After the legislative elections of June 12 and 19, the national office of the Socialist Party takes sanctions against those who presented themselves despite the agreement made with the NUPES. Four Périgord candidates, incumbents and alternates, are suspended before possible exclusion. This concerns the PS dissident candidate from Bergerac, Christopher Cathusthe PS dissident candidate from Périgord Noir, Christian Teillacthe candidate for the first constituency Floran Vadillo and his substitute caroline cappel. The dissident PS candidate from Nontronnais, Martial Peyrouni is not concerned because he is not a member of the PS. He ran with PS backing before the NUPES deal.
The National Conflicts Commission must rule on a possible exclusion
The four candidates learned about it from the press. They are suspended before going to the National Conflicts Commission to “plead their cause”. This national commission could decide on their exclusion but for the moment it no longer has a president, the latter opposed to the agreement with NUPES has resigned.
The PS is also interested in the financing of the campaigns of the dissidents
The Socialist Party is also interested in financing the dissidents’ campaign. He intends to examine the accounts of the federations to find out if they have participated in the expenses of the dissident candidates. Support for dissident candidates could also be targeted provided that they are denounced by activists.
