When could the peak of the seventh wave of Covid-19 be reached? The point with the journalist and doctor Damien Mascret, Thursday June 30, on the set of 20 Hours.
The seventh wave of the epidemic VSvid-19 arrived safely in France. The number of cases continues toincrease, but when will the peak be reached? “First, we can draw inspiration from what happened last summer (…). The wave had reached a plateau around July 31 until around August 16, then after that it started to go down“, explains Damien Mascret on the set of 20 Hours, Thursday June 30th. “This time the wave will be less strong in the hospital, since we are still well immunized“, he continues
Damian Mascret points out that we can take inspiration from the recent wave that took place in Portugal, because it is the same variant, BA-5who arrived in France. “In Portugal, the wave began to rise on April 29 to peak three weeks later on May 20.“, reports the journalist. “The wave started on June 14. We are six weeks apart. If we transpose what has just happened in Portugal, we should in turn reach a peak around July 5“, he concludes. Damian Mascret therefore recalls the importance of recalling for fragile people.
