Amiens SC formalized this Wednesday the signing of the first professional contract of Mattheo Xantippe. At 20, the full-back has just had a very interesting season in Ligue 2 where he played 20 games and scored twice. He signs a three-year contract.
Pure Amiens, Matthéo is the son of Christophe Xantippe who also wore the jersey of Amiens SC. After his early years at Camon, the defender joined the ASC in U13.
A new double in goal
In addition, Amiens SC also announced on Wednesday the signing, for one season, of goalkeeper Paul Charruau. At 28, the former Red Star goalkeeper in National will be Régis Gurtner’s understudy to replace Yohann Thuram whose contract has not been renewed. Paul Charruau has already played in Ligue 2, notably at Valenciennes.
