The Stanley Cup will be back in Roberval for the next few months, but this time it will be thanks to Colorado Avalanche defenseman Samuel Girard, whose team was just crowned champions on Sunday night after defeating the two-time defending champions, the Tampa Bay Lightning, 2-1 in Game 6 of the Grand Finals.

In 2008, the open water swimming capital hosted the coveted trophy after winning the Kraft Hockeyville competition. In addition to holding a National Hockey League game as part of the organized festivities, people were able to admire the mythical trophy of our national sport up close.
