Football stars gathered on the lawn of the Arsène Wenger stadium in Duppigheim this Sunday for a gala match. In this team of the Variétés club de France led by the journalist Jacques Vandroux rubbed shoulders in particular Claude Puel (ex coach of OL, Lille or Nice), Antoine Kombouaré (former coach of the Racing club of Strasbourg), Wilfrid Mbappé. But the highlight of the show, acclaimed by the public in the stands and at the edge of the field, was Arsène Wenger, the former Arsenal coach and local child.
The meeting which opposed this regiment of stars to a regional selection made up of players from USL Duppigheim and AFLC Duttlenheim ended in score of 6-5 in favor of the Variétés club. But beyond the sporting event, on the lawn of the stadium which bears his name since 2016, Arsène Wenger enjoyed replaying on the land of his childhood, carrying values to which he considers he owes his career.
