If for some, the birth of a business or a child marks their lives forever, for Alain Bahuchet the year 1989the one where the Berlin Wall was destroyed, remains a moment of intense emotion.
Incredulous in front of the television screen, which he rarely watches, he will have to change channels to take the measure of this reality. He lived in Savoy at the time and maintained friendly relations with West Germans, close to the border with East Germany. This historic moment will remain engraved forever in his memory and the emotion is still palpable more than thirty years later. He also remembers the concert that Rostropovitch gave on November 11 in front of the Berlin Wall. Alone on a small chair with his cello, the musician performed a sarabande by JS. Bach.
