Friday, June 24, the US Supreme Court challenged the right to abortion. In some states like Alabama, some were already struggling to enforce this right.

If the right to abortion was revoked by the American Supreme Court on Friday June 24, in the most conservative states of the country, this right was already complicated to enforce. Women wanting to have an abortion must undergo the slogans of the anti-abortion demonstrators, some even hide so that we do not sees not their face. “To have these people screaming behind the door, it’s really hard”saddens one of them, in tears. As a premonition, another patient declared: “I would be so devastated if we didn’t have the right to have an abortion.”

A woman gynecologist is fortunately present to accompany those who come to have an abortion. She no longer fears protesters. “They are here often and especially on the days of operations”she warns. This gynecologist comes once a month to the state of Alabama. In this state, the conditions for an abortion are restrictive, a first appointment must take place, and a woman cannot have an abortion more than 22 weeks after her last menstrual period. Questions are also asked to patients since it is enshrined in the law. Finally, an ultrasound is mandatory.
