The show is so successful across the globe that it finally has its French version! After America, Canada, Holland, Spain, Thailand or the United Kingdom, RuPaul’s Drag Race finally puts on a wig from home. On Saturday June 25, at 8 p.m., the first episode of this season frenchie will be broadcast on the online platform, France TV Slash. But in the meantime, each queen promotes the show, in particular by stopping by to do a little “Hello” to Laurent Ruquier for the last of his show We are live, on June 4th.
So that Drag Race France being an absolutely unique program, ten drag queens were selected from 450 applications – according to the production. In the end, big names from the French drag scene were selected: Elips, Kam Hugh, La Big Bertha, La Briochée, La Grande Dame, La Kahena, Lolita Banana, Lova Ladiva, Paloma and Soa de Muse. At the head of the show, Nicky Doll, emblematic candidate for season 12 of the US version and the only French drag queen to have participated across the Atlantic, as well as host Daphne Bürki and DJ Kiddy Smile, notably known for having gave a concert at the Elysée during the Fête de la Musique 2018.
