The Prime Minister, Élisabeth Borne, reaffirmed Thursday, June 23, her desire to find compromises with certain deputies to vote on texts.
Faced with the criticisms of which she has been the target since her appointment as Prime Minister, Élisabeth Borne chose to respond Thursday, June 23 in an interview with the LCI news channel. On the Franceinfo 11 p.m. set, journalist Thibault Maillet reports that she said she was ready to find compromises. “That we can find deputies to vote on texts, obviously, because we will have integrated their proposals, all of this in the service of our country, I am convinced that it is possible”, she said.
The Prime Minister will meet with the main representatives of the parliamentary groups in the National Assembly. “Elisabeth Borne’s entourage at Matignon affirms that she is experienced in the art of compromise. But in truth, in the eyes of the president and the main parties who will potentially participate in a new coalition, it is she who could be the adjustment variable depending on the outcome of the negotiations”, says Thibault Maillet. The journalist adds that “This uncertain situation could last, Emmanuel Macron has shown it, he does not like having to reconsider his choices. A member of the government affirms it, it is off the microphone: ‘if he took her back to the stride, not easy to resign in a few days'”.
