Created in 1998, the Awards ceremony “L’Oreal – UNESCO for Women in Science“each year rewards five women who stand out in the field of science. The five winners come from five different regions of the world. For their contribution to progress, for the exception of their work and their research, these sizes win, each , the sum of €100,000 Unfortunately, the event had not been able to take place since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
On Thursday June 23, 2022, Marie Drucker presented the Awards ceremony “L’Oreal – UNESCO for Women in Science”, at UNESCO, located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. She thus presented, not five prizes but fifteen, in the company of Jean-Paul Agon, president of L’Oréal and president of the L’Oréal Foundation, but also of Audrey Azoulay, the director general of UNESCO, Alexandra Palt, the general director of the L’Oréal Foundation, the actress Elsa Zylberstein, Rachida Dati and the presidents of the juries, the internationally renowned experts Brigitte Lina Kieffer and Artur Avil.
