On Wednesday June 22, the President of the Republic spoke in a speech broadcast at 8 p.m. Emmanuel Macron notably called for governing differently.

It was a speech eagerly awaited by the French. The President of the Republic delivered a speech for the first time since the legislative elections, Wednesday June 22. He took note of the result while calling on his political opponents to cooperate with the presidential majority. Emmanuel Macron said in particular: “it will be necessary to clarify in the coming days the share of responsibility and cooperation that the different formations of the National Assembly are ready to take.”

On the right as on the left, the speech of the President of the Republic was strongly criticized. “It’s still not his fault, it’s still the fault of the opposition”, ironically the deputy de Nupes, Sandrine Rousseau. Sebastian Chenu, deputy RNcalls on him for a clarification of the President of the Republic while Boris Vallaudleader of the PS in the Assembly, wants Emmanuel Macron to compromise. Jean-Luc Mélenchon wants a vote of confidence in the government of Elisabeth Borne.
