Three brothers bound in mourning
It’s a big family of artists. Son of screenwriter, director, producer and press officer Chantal Poupaud, Melvil Poupaud was immersed in the world of cinema very early on. He was introduced to the seventh art by the critic Serge Daney, and attracted to the big screen from an early age. He also released five albums, most of which he worked with his brother Yarol – guitarist, among others, of Johnny Hallyday. The two sons of Chantal Poupaud have a very singular complicity which is often played around a few guitar riffs. They also have another more discreet brother, César, who is a doctor in mathematics, a teacher… and a musician. Together, they formed the group Black minou in 2011 and released their first EP the following year, in March 2012.
