Prince Albert struck by tragedy and “deeply affected”

When you are head of state or prince, daily life is punctuated by good and bad times. Prince Albert of Monaco knows something about it. In top form since the return of Charlène to the Rock, the brother of Stéphanie and Caroline of Monaco savors these moments found with the family, in private as in the official appearances imposed by the status of member of the princely family. These are joyful events that Prince Albert recently attended.

Monaco Grand Prix with Charlène and the children Gabriella and Jacques, inauguration of a special exhibition for the protection of the environment alongside the actress committed to this cause Mélanie Laurent or more recently the opening ceremony of the 61st television festival of Monte-Carlo, Prince Albert is not idle for his greatest pleasure. But reality unfortunately caught up with him faster than expected.

On Sunday June 19, an apartment fire broke out in the Principality, avenue Princesse-Grace. The violent fire put the lives of several civilians in danger. The Rocher firefighters therefore quickly intervened to control the flames and save the inhabitants of the building in which the apartment was located. But in the intervention, one of the firefighters, Thierry Perard, lost his life.
