The 11th stage of the Tour de France takes place this Wednesday July 13 between Albertville (Savoie) and the Col du Granon (Hautes-Alpes). The 151.7 kilometer long route promises to be difficult with four major climbs, including the legendary Telegraph, Galibier, Granon and Montvernier laces.
The 11th stage of the Tour de France promises a great show on Wednesday July 13, with magnificent landscapes in the heart of the Alps. From Savoie to the Hautes-Alpes, the 151.7 km route connects Albertville to the Col du Granon. Albertville is hosting the Tour for the 7th time and this is the 2nd time for the Col du Granon. Four major climbs are on the program: the laces of Montvernier, the Col du Télégraphe, the Col du Galibier and the Col du Granon. According to Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour de France, “After crossing Serre-Chevalier, there are 10 kilometers left at more than 9% to reach the Col du Granon and its 2413 meters which for 25 years was the highest finish site of the Tour.” Discover all the details of the route and the timetables below.
