On the second floor is the bistro area and its lounge area, to which is added a more formal dining room. Customers can enjoy a cocktail prepared from Quebec spirits and a menu focused on sharing: homemade salmon gravlax, mini-burgers of pulled pork cooked in the smokehouse, etc. Executive chef and catering director, Jean-Benoît Courcoul, promises an accessible menu of homemade seasonal dishes with local ingredients.

The new address — which is sold out for its first opening weekend — has 354 rooms of approximately 300 sq.ft.2 over 30 floors. Among them, 228 double rooms with large beds. Rooms offer city, river and mountain views thanks to the hotel’s location in the heart of the Village.

The place, which formerly housed the Gourveneur Place Dupuis hotel, has been completely renovated by the new owners, Sageblan Investissements, who have invested 25 million dollars. “The Village has strong development prospects and many attractions. We are proud to be among the changemakers participating in its revitalization,” said Gaurav Gupta, president of the company, in a statement. The design is signed by the Montreal architecture firm Camdi Design.

The new hotel offers food outlets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Breakfast, included free of charge, is offered until 11 a.m. You can also stock up at any time at the Market, located on the ground floor, with various food items: charcuterie platters, muffins, sandwiches and a selection of ready-to-drink Quebecois. A Starbucks coffee is also accessible from the hotel, in addition to direct access to the Berri-UQAM metro station.

The Hyatt Place also has a stylish indoor pool, reserved for guests, with relaxation areas and a dry sauna. “In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful swimming pools in Montreal and it offers a beautiful view of the city,” says Ms.me Létourneau, who adds that the inclusive and informal approach, which promotes connections between customers, is one of the particularities of the brand.

This space has been designed for teleworking, a marked trend in the world of travel today. There are printers that can be used from anywhere in the hotel using a mobile device. “We have a total of 6,000 sq.2 of banquet space that can accommodate from 5 to 200 people for business meetings, weddings or social events”, lists the marketing director.
