At 12 p.m., Sunday June 19, the turnout is 18.99% for the second round of the legislative elections. Journalist Jean-Christophe Battery was live from Ministry of the Interior.

Sunday, June 19, the turnout at 12 p.m. is 18.99% for the second round of the legislative elections. “Two elements emerge from this figure. First, it is a very low figure compared to the legislative elections for twenty years, but we are reconnecting with the jump between the two rounds. Today is +0.56 points compared to last week. In 2017, when the score was the worst of the last twenty years, we were at 17.75%. We had lost 1.5 points. There, we gain some points”explains journalist Jean-Christophe Batterylive from a polling station for the 12/13 newspaper.

“The turnout rates vary greatly depending on the region. It is always in Lot and Corrèze where the most votes are cast. Almost one in three voters turned out at 12 p.m. and around Paris, this is where people vote the least: in Seine-Saint-Denis, 8.88% is less than half the national average. In these departments, where, it is true, we vote late”recalls Jean-Christophe Battery.
