Thus, the 787 new cases reported on Saturday bring the daily average to 715. The trend is thus up 16% over one week. These figures probably only reflect a part of the total infections, due to the still very limited access to PCR screening tests.

As for them, the seven new deaths reported on Saturday bring the daily average calculated over seven days to seven. The current trend is up 23% over a period of one week.

On Saturday, there was an increase of 19 hospitalizations linked to COVID-19. To date, 1,029 patients therefore remain hospitalized in connection with the virus, of which 26 are still in intensive care, a drop of one bed compared to the previous day in this regard. No other data was available on this subject on Saturday.

For now, the 1029 people currently hospitalized represent a stable trend over one week. In intensive care, the 26 patients represent a 30% increase over one week.

Note that the number of people hospitalized is likely to remain stable over the next few days, with the number of discharges equaling admissions.

According to the VaccineTracker Quebec site, 5,641 additional doses of vaccine have been administered in the past 24 hours, the vast majority of which were third or fourth doses.

Nearly 87% of the general population has so far had one dose, while about 83.5% of Quebecers have two. Almost 52.4% of citizens have three doses, and just over 13.8% of them now have four. The vaccination campaign continues to progress slowly. Quebec currently administers an average of 4,600 doses per day.
