Kate Middleton plays her Pretty Woman in a polka dot dress at Royal Ascot!

They may now do racetracks apart, Kate Middleton and her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, have the same credentials when it comes to looking beautiful on the grass. A few weeks ago in Los Angeles, the Duchess of Sussex attended a polo match attended by her man, Prince Harry, in white shorts with a black polka-dot blouse and a matching wide-brimmed hat. A look obviously pumped on Julia Roberts, in the cult film, Pretty Woman. And this June 17, the Duchess of Cambridge, too, was inspired by the Oscar-winning actress!

A very Pretty Woman look

The mother of George, Charlotte, and Louis, attended this Friday the 4th day of Royal Ascot, in Berkshire. Horse racing attracts the entire royal family every year, and in particular the queen, whose horses are often at the start. For the occasion, Kate Middleton offered herself a brand new white dress, with brown polka dots, signed Alessandra Rich, which is worth around 2,300 euros (from an old collection, and already out of stock).

On her foot, she also had brown suede pumps from Ralph Lauren, brand new – so baptized in the grass. Finally, as is the tradition for this event, the future queen consort also wore a hat, in the same tones, custom-made by Sally Ann Provan, which costs just over 870 euros.

Why did Kate and William miss the start of Royal Ascot?

While waiting for the highly anticipated arrival of Queen Elizabeth II, the star of the day therefore arrived with her husband, Prince William, in a horse-drawn carriage. At the start of the festivities, on Tuesday June 14, the couple had to decline the invitation. According Hello Magazinethey were at the same time at the commemorations of the fire at Grenfell Tower, 5 years after the tragedy, which claimed the lives of 72 people.
