Four soldiers in civilian clothes were heading towards rue de Dole when they were shot at on Saturday June 18 around 5:30 a.m. These men came out of the HQ nightclub in Besançon, on the banks of the Doubs. They were walking on Chemin de Mazagran, towards Rue de Dole, when a car stopped about 30 meters from them. A person came out of the cockpit and aimed in their directionwith a small caliber weapon.
The author of the wanted shots
One of the four soldiers, in his twenties, was slightly injured in the arm. The emergency services transported him to the University Hospital of Besançon. His state of health is reassuring, according to the police. The car fled.
The Departmental Directorate of Public Security has opened an investigation. The police are still looking for the shooter. “The evening went well, according to them. We don’t know why the soldiers were targeted”, specifies the police officer on duty. The depositions of the soldiers were in progress this Saturday, June 18 at the end of the morning.
