Friday, June 17, the journalist Pauline Sauthier is live from Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhone)where she attends a school field trip. It details the measures taken to protect children from the high temperatures that affect France during these outings: “First, officials distribute bottles of water before each outdoor show. They have planned 2,000 for the day, knowing that there are 1,000 primary school students from the region who have come here.”

“Water points have been distributed throughout the site so that the children can fill their water bottles. There are also misters and parasols. The goal is of course to avoid the risk of dehydration and discomfort in children. (…) A security officer will come to the site to prevent the risks, precisely, of dehydration”continues the journalist, who recalls to conclude the good gestures to protect oneself from the harmful effects of the heat: “hydrate well of course, wear a hat, put on sunscreen”.
