In France, concern is moderate in the face of the resurgence of the Covid-19 epidemic. The number of cases is however on the rise in some territories.
In Saint-Girons (Ariège), wearing a mask is compulsory on the market, but some do not apply barrier gestures. Ariège is however the department in France where the incidence rate has increased the most in one month: + 238%. 95% of adults are fully vaccinated in the department, but the number ofinjection has been declining in recent weeks. Sylvie Bacquéemergency doctor note “a slowing down of appointments”.
TO Hirson, in the Aisne, the incidence rate has tripled in two weeks. Nine patients are now cared for in the unit Covid of the hospital. “We increased the capacity to 12 beds for this unit, since we had to adapt according to arrivals”, explains Anne Seguin, director of care. 88% of adults are fully vaccinated in France, and 4 million people have received their 3rd dose. However, disparities remain between departments.
