A great experience that ends in the most beautiful way. After having been sensitized for three years to classical music and the practice of an instrument.
A hundred young people from Mulhouse, from priority neighborhoods, will perform this Saturday, June 18 at 2 p.m., at the Philharmonie de Paris where all the great orchestras of the world perform.
Great moment of emotion for young apprentice musicians
This is the second promotion of the Demos project, Musical Education Device and Orchestra with a Social Vocation, launched by the Philharmonie de Paris and extended to the national level. They started their apprenticeship in CE2 and are currently in CM2.
They have followed a 3h30 training per week, supervised by professional musicians . Everyone chose their instrument: flute, cello, violin, trumpet or even clarinet and took music lessons in small groups, then in an orchestra.
Two pieces played at the Philharmonie de Paris
Young people from Mulhouse will play, sing and dance on two pieces: the legend of the Bridge of kyiv and Tankō Bushi_,_a traditional Japanese piece
“These have been three great years. The children have met the music, but also the professionals. It has been good moments of sharing,” explains the conductor Olivier Boy who supervised them.
“It was joy. But it’s going to be stressful playing in front of 2,000 people,” enthuse the children. Good concert to them!
