(Paris) The Tunisian Ons Jabeur, 4e world, and the American Coco Gauff (13e), finalist at Roland-Garros, qualified for the quarter-finals of the WTA 500 tournament in Berlin on Thursday.

Jabeur dismissed American Alycia Parks (169e) 6-2, 7-6 (10/8) and will try to reach the last four of the grass tournament on Friday, preparatory to Wimbledon (June 27-July 10), against Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich (38e).
Last year, Jabeur won the first tournament of his career on the grass of Birmingham before climbing to the quarter-finals at Wimbledon.
For her part, Gauff dominated the Chinese Xinyu Wang (76e) 6-0, 6-4 and will face the Czech Karolina Pliskova (7e), finalist at Wimbledon last year.
The American, now 18, rose to prominence at the 2019 London Major when she reached 8are of the final at 15 years old having left the qualifications and having beaten at 1er tower Venus Williams, yet five times winner. She has also just lost in the final at Roland-Garros against the Polish Iga Swiatek.
