Economic rebound: France and Italy saved from the waters?
The European economy has recovered well after the historic recession caused last year by the Covid-19 pandemic, and the expansion will continue next year despite the current wave of contamination, the Commission estimated Thursday. Brussels has slightly increased its forecast for GDP growth in the euro area for 2021 to 5%, while lowering its forecast for 2022 to 4.3%. France and Italy are doing like the best students.
