Sunday, June 12, after the first round of legislative elections, the National Rally came in third place with 18.7% of the vote. The objective for Marine Le Pen’s party is to have a group in the National Assembly.
Marine Le Pen is relieved. And for good reason, the outgoing deputy of the National Rally is qualified for the second round of the legislative elections in her constituency of Pas-de-Calais. Beyond her score, it is that of her party that she wishes to highlight. “In 208 constituencies, we came out on top and therefore we can elect deputies”she said. In Aisne, Charente or Gironde, the National Rally is in the second round in 208 constituencies in total.
“Macron, zero, I don’t trust Macron”, says a voter from Aisne. Like him, many see the vote for the National Rally as a way of opposing the head of state. Marine le Pen’s movement could obtain between 20 and 45 deputies in the National Assembly. Now the goal for the party is to get a group in order to have it led by Marine Le Pen.
