“There are already teachers working in primary and secondary schools who have a reduction in working time, who work 4 days and there is, at that time, on the fifth day, someone who is replacing” , explains Diane Brunelle, work and organizational psychologist.

According to the latter, a four-day schedule would also allow new teachers to work five days a week “and not just replace a few hours a week”.

This reduced schedule could allow several teachers to reconcile work and family or even others to take early retirement.

“So reduce their working time by allowing younger employees who have family responsibilities to have personal time as well,” says Ms. Brunelle.
