The mystery of wild bites continues and also affects rural villages. In Béarn, on Saturday June 4, Arudy’s celebrations were in full swing when at least four people were bitten without their knowledge. Complaints have been filed.
The victims are fine, no drugs in the shots
According to the mayor, Claude Aussant, young girls and young men were bitten. A young girl felt the sting strongly and gave the alert. The person was not arrested immediately. The gendarmes were called and carried out investigations on the spot which would have made it possible to identify the author of these wild bites.
After two years of absence due to the pandemic, the Arudy parties were back. There were a lot of people at these parties and these bites created a context of concern. The victims are fine, they were taken care of and brought to the hospital to carry out toxicology tests. These tests revealed that the victims were therefore not drugged.
The gendarmes, the police and the night establishments have been multiplying prevention messages for several weeks against these wild bites. An information meeting for night professionals was once again held on Monday evening at the République complex in Pau. The idea is not to scare or create psychosis, the phenomenon remains marginal according to the authorities who hope educate young people at the approach of the village festivals.
